The magnetic field at the centre of a current-carrying loop of radius 0.1 m is55times that at a point along its axis. What is the distance (inm) of this point from the centre of the loop?

Answer:
0.20
Solution:

We know that,

BcentreBaxis=1+x2r23/2

Given that,Bcentre=55 Baxis

BcentreBaxis=55

  55=1+x20.123/2

On squaring both sides, we get

25×5=1+x20.123

1253=1+x20.12

 0.01+x2=0.05

  x2=0.05-0.01

  x2=0.04

  x=0.2 m
