One of the major use of H2O2 is for artificial respiration. It is stored in cylinder of 3 litre capacity completely filled with H2O2 solution with volume strength of 44.8 volumes at 1 atm and 273 K. In a hospital of Ahmedabad, patient under artificial respiration takes 200 ml O2 per min at 1 atm & 273 K and a cylinder last for 2.8 hours. After that it can not be used for respiration though it still contains H2O2 . [Assume volume of solution and rate of decomposition remain constant.
