Which of these is not required in PCR?

Options:

Answer:
D
Solution:

PCR is exponential amplification of DNA. The steps are Denaturation, Annealing and polymerisation. Denaturation will produce template DNA. Annealing requires a Primer by which short DNA is attached to the complementary DNA. Then finally for polymerisation , temperature dependent DNA polymerase like Taq polymerase is used. Methylases add CH3 groups to adenine or cytosine and are not used in PCR.
