or $\frac{1}{x} = \frac{3}{1 - x}$

or $1 - x = 3 x$

or $x = 0.25 m$ from $1 \times 10^{- 9} C$

$∴$ From $9 \times 10^{- 9} C$ ,
distance $= 1 - x$

$= 1 - 0.25$

$= 0.75$
