So, the formula of compound is x3y

Now

If radius of x is r and radius of y is R then side length a=2R

and face diagonal 2a=2R+2r

Now Packing fraction =volume of atoms Volume of unit cell

=1×43πR3+3×43πr3a3

Substituting a=2 R and r=0.414 R

=43πR31+30.41432R3

=4π3×8 1+0.07096×3
