Nylon 2-Nylon-6 is an alternating polyamide copolymer of glycine$(\mathrm{N}{\mathrm{H}}_2-\mathrm{C}{\mathrm{H}}_2-\mathrm{C}\mathrm{O}\mathrm{O}\mathrm{H})$and amino caproic acid$[\mathrm{N}{\mathrm{H}}_2-(\mathrm{C}{\mathrm{H}}_2\left){\mathrm{}}_5\mathrm{C}\mathrm{O}\mathrm{O}\mathrm{H}\right]$and is biodegradable too.
Rest other are obtained from different monomers. For example Buna-N is made of Buta-1,3-di-ene and vinyl cyanide. Nylon 6,6 is co-polymer of adipic acid and hexamethylene diamine.
