From the first reaction:
S₈ + 8O₂(g) → 8SO₂(g)
1 mol S₈ produces 8 mol SO₂.
0.5 mol S₈ produces 4 mol SO₂.
From the second reaction:
2SO₂(g) + O₂(g) → 2SO₃(g)
4 mol SO₂ will produce 4 mol SO₃ (since the ratio is 2:2 or 1:1).
Molar mass of SO₃ = 80 g/mol
Mass of SO₃ = 4 x 80 = 320g
