Options:

Answer:
C
Solution:

Epithelium tissue is divided into the simple epithelium and compound epithelium on the basis of the number of layers of cells resting on the basement membrane. The simple epithelium consists of only one layer of cells. But this is further divided into various types on the basis of the shape of cells as squamous epithelium, cuboidal epithelium, columnar epithelium, ciliated epithelium, and pseudostratified epithelium. Ciliated epithelium can be ciliated columnar or ciliated cuboidal depending on whether cilia are present on cuboidal or columnar cells. Cilia is responsible for movement of substances. The diagram shows cilia on tall cells and thus it is ciliated columnar epithelium. This is seen in bronchioles and fallopian tubes.
