VASECTOMY:It is temporary method of sterilization in males. In this method vas deferens are cut and tied both the ends under minor surgical operation. This prevents the transport of sperms towards ejaculatory duct from edididymis via vas deferens during sexual intercourse. Vasectomy is effective and is irreversible. The sperms continue to form but cannot reach the urethra. Such, sperm undergoes lysis and are engulfed.
