Daughter will be colour blind when
Options:
Answer:
D
Solution:
Colour blindness is a X-linked recessive disorder. The affected individual is not able to distinguish colour especially red and green. X-lined disorders are inherent disorders due to mutation in the X-chromosome which causes the phenotype to be always expressed in male and in female only in homozygous condition. For a daughter to be colour blind, her father must be colour blind as she receives one X-chromosome from him and mother must be a carrier if not colour blind to pass the X- chromosome to daughter.
