Options:

Answer:
B
Solution:

The J-shaped growth curve is shown by a small population reared in a natural environment with plenty of food but no predator. In this case, there is a rapid increase in population until the food is available, but after the decrease in the availability of food, there is a sudden increase in mortality rate and it is called population crash. E.g. Many insect populations show exponential growth and increase in their population size in the rainy season but are followed by a population crash at the end of the rainy season.
