Human eye is made up of three layers. Outer layer is fibrous layer that consists of Sclera and Cornea. The middle layer consists of Choroid which continues as ciliary apparatus. The innermost layer is known as Retina. Choroid is the main vascular layer of the eye. The main function of this is to prevent scattering of light that enters the eye so that the light can focus on the posterior portion to form clear images. It is also the coloured portion of the eye as it is bluish in colour due to presence of pigment cells.
