It is divided into two hemispheres known as cerebral hemispheres that are connected by the corpus callosum. Each hemisphere is divided into four lobes. These are frontal, parietal, temporal and occipital lobes. The frontal lobe is the lobe responsible for memory, planning personality etc. The parietal lobe is responsible for the perception of pain. The temporal lobe is the hearing centre while the occipital lobe is responsible for vision.
