Muscle fatigue is extreme tiredness of muscles. This is due to many reasons. Overload on muscles is the commonest cause. This is because muscles are under repeated stimulations. This results in exhaustion of minerals like calcium inside the muscles. This also results in depletion of oxygen and thus there is accumulation of lactic acid inside the muscles. If such a state arises, resting the muscle is the first step. This will result in removal of lactic acid from the muscles and thus muscle fibres will get oxygen supply again.
