What happens when there is muscular fatigue?

Options:

Answer:
B
Solution:

At the time of heavy muscular activity, the muscle does not get sufficient oxygen; hence it performs anaerobic respiration and produces lactic acid. This lactic acid accumulates in between the muscles and causes pain. Hence, there is a reduction in the contraction ability of the muscles. The reduction in the force of contraction of a muscle after prolonged stimulation is called 'muscle fatigue'. The glucose level will be lesser and hence the amount of ATP produced will be lesser.
