Answer:
D
Solution:

Malaria is cause by the parasite Plasmodium and it is spread by the female mosquito which feeds off the blood from animals for nutrients. Thus, the female mosquito acts as the vector for transmitting the disease.

During a blood meal by the mosquito, blood stage parasites (gametocytes, which occur in male and female forms) are ingested and pass in to the gut of the vector mosquito. These gametes mate in the gut of the mosquito and begin a cycle of growth and multiplication in the mosquito. Thus, gametes of the parasite will be found the gut of the mosquito.
