Which of the following mixture of gases was used by Miller in his experiment?

Options:

Answer:
D
Solution:

According to Oparin and Haldane initial atmosphere had hydrogen, oxygen, carbon and nitrogen out of which Hydrogen was highly reactive and hence reacted with all other elements to form various compounds like Water, Methane and Ammonia. Since the earlier atmosphere was reducing type ozone was unavailable and henceH2Owas in gaseous form due to effect of sunlight. Urey and Miller wanted to replicate this theory in an experimental setup to understand whether the findings mentioned by Oparin and Haldane was real or not. Hence they use the same substances in their experiment.
