Experimental proof of theory of chemical evolution of life was given by

Options:

Answer:
C
Solution:

The theory of chemical evolution was given by the Oparin of Russia and Haldane of England. This is the most acceptable theory for origin of life. They proposed that chemical evolution (inorganic constituents→ Formation of diverse non-living organic molecules like RNA, protein, etc.) has resulted in the formation of first life forms. Conditions on earth at that time were - High temperature, volcanic storms and reducing atmosphere containingCH4, NH3, etc.

Experimental proof of the theory of chemical evolution was given by S.L. Miller (American scientist) and Harold Urey in 1953. Similar atmospheric conditions were developed on a laboratory scale - Electric discharge in a closed flask containingCH4, H2, NH3and water vapour at800 oC.

Result: Few amino acids were obtained.
