Answer:
Solution:
Digestion is the process of conversion of macromolecules into micromolecules so that they are easily absorbed in the blood. This is carried out by the alimentary canal and it also includes many associated glands. Stomach is a J-shaped organ that brings about digestion of proteins only. In humans, the mouth consists of teeth and tongue. Human dentition is diphyodont (as there are two sets of teeth seen), heterodont (all teeth are of various shapes) and thecodont (as the teeth are embedded in the alveolar sockets). The alimentary canal consists of four walls. The outermost wall is the serosa which is absent in oesophagus.
