All the following factors are favourable for the formation of oxyhaemoglobin, except

Options:

Answer:
C
Solution:

Oxygen binds with haemoglobin in a reversible manner to form Oxyhaemoglobin. A maximum of four oxygen molecules are carried by each Hb. The binding of oxygen is related to partial pressure ofO2where as partial pressure ofCO2, hydrogen ion concentrationand temperature are factors interfering with its binding. The factors which are favourable for formation of oxyhaemoglobin in the alveoli are highpO2, lesserH+concentration, lowpCO2and lower temperature. The lowpO2, highpCO2, highH+concentration and higher temperature in the tissues are all the conditions leading to dissociation of oxygen from the oxyhaemoglobin. This indicates that oxygen is bounded to haemoglobin in the lung and dissociated in the tissues.
