Options:

Answer:
C
Solution:

Cellular components of Blood are Erythrocytes, Leukocytes and Thrombocytes. Leukocytes can be Granulocytes or Agranulocytes. Basophils are Granulocytes. These are 0-1% of the total WBC's. These secrete substances like Histamine, Serotonin and heparin. Histamine is a Vasodilator. Serotonin mainly acts as Vasoconstrictor while Heparin is an anticoagulant. Thus basophils are non-phagocytic. Phagocytic cells are Neutrophils and Monocytes. Monocytes circulate in blood for around 8 hrs and then enter the tissues as enlarged cells. These are Macrophages and hence these are too phagocytic in function.
