Let the tension in the string be $T$ . On drawing the combined FBD of both the man and the block, we have:

$4 T + T = (60 + 10) g [S ys t e mi s a t e q u i l ib r i u m]$

$5 T = 70 \times 10$

$T = 140 N$

$T = 20 α = 140 ⟹ α = 7$
