$\frac{F}{( M + m )} \times M \to$ applied force on block

$\frac{F}{( M + m )} \times (M + \frac{m}{2}) \to tension at mid rope$

$\Rightarrow \frac{M}{M + \frac{m}{2}} = \frac{2}{3} \Rightarrow \frac{M}{m} = 1$
