Options:

Answer:
B
Solution:

The maximum height of a projectile thrown vertically upward is given by, h=u22g.

u=2gh

Using equation of motion with constant acceleration,

s=ut+12at2

h3=2ght-12gt2

gt22-2ght+h3=0

Solving the above quadratic equation we will get the times t1 and t2t2t1=2gh+2gh-4×g2×h32gh-2gh-4×g2×h3=2gh+4gh32gh-4gh3=3+23-2

Thus, the ratio t1t2=3-23+2
