$A_{2} = - \frac{(μ_{1} - 1) A_{1}}{(μ_{2} - 1)}$

Substituting the given values, we get

$A_{2} = - \frac{(1 \cdot 5 - 1) 5 °}{(1 \cdot 75 - 1)} = - \frac{10 °}{3}$

The negative sign shows that the two prisms must be joined in opposition.
