Solution:

The total flux, before and after the position change of the switch, remains the same

$L_{1} i_{1} = L_{2} i_{2}$

$L_{1} = 5 H$ , $i_{1} = 4 A$ and $L_{2} = 15 H$

$5 \times 4 = 15 \times i$

$\Rightarrow i = \frac{4}{3} = \frac{a}{b}$

$\Rightarrow a + b = 7$
