Letα,βbe the roots of the equationx2-4λx+5=0andα,γbe the roots of the equationx2-32+23x+7+3λ3=0. Ifβ+γ=32, thenα+2β+γ2is equal to

Answer:
98.00
Solution:

Given α & β are roots of x2-4λx+5=0

So, α+β=4λ and αβ=5 .......(i)

And α & γ are roots of x2-32+23x+7+3λ3=0

So, α+y=32+23 and  αγ=7+3λ3 .........(ii)

Given, if β+γ=32

So, from equation (i) and (ii) we get, α=2λ+3 and

β=2λ-3 , Now by product of roots we get, 4λ2-3=5λ=2

 α+2β+λ2= α+β+β+λ2=4λ+322

=42+322=722=98
