Options:

Answer:
C
Solution:

Let nA and nB be the percentage of population in a city who read newspaper A and B respectively.

Therefore, nA=25, nB=20 and nAB=8

Now, we know that

nAB¯=nA-nAB

nAB¯=25-8

nAB¯=17

And,

nA¯B=nB-nAB

nA¯B=20-8

nA¯B=12

Therefore, percentage of those who read advertisements is

=30% of nAB¯+40% of nBA¯+50% of nAB

=30100×17+40100×12+50100×8

=1390100

Total persons who look into advertisement =13.9%
