Options:

Answer:
B
Solution:

Given,

fx=loge2x+34x2+x-3+cos-12x-1x+2

Now, using the definition of log function and cos-1 function we get,

2x+34x2+x-3>0 and -12x-1x+21

2x+3(4x-3)(x+1)>0, 3x+1x+20 & x-3x+20

Now, solving 2x+3(4x-3)(x+1)>0 we get,

x-32,-134,  ....i

Similarly for 3x+1x+20 we get,

x(-,-2)-13,   ...ii

And for x-3x+20 we get,

x(-2,3]    ... iii

Now, taking intersection of  iiiiii we get,

(34,3]

So, on comparing with (α,β] we get, α=34 & β=3

Hence, 5β-4α=15-3=12
