Let f:0,1 be a function defined by fx=11-e-x, and gx=f-x-fx. Consider two statements

(I) g is an increasing function in 0,1

(II) g is one-one in 0,1
Then,

Options:

Answer:
D
Solution:

Given,

f:0,1 be a function defined by fx=11-e-x, and gx=f-x-fx

Now using gx=f-x-fx we get,

g(x)=11-ex-exex-1

gx=1+ex1-ex

Now differentiating the above function with respect to x we get,

g'x=2ex1-ex2>0

Since g'x is always positive

So, gx is one-one in 0,1

And gx is increasing in 0,1
