Solution:

Let the mirror image of a circle c1:x2+y2-2x-6y+α=0  in line y=x+1 be c2:5x2+5y2+10gx +10fy+38=0. If r is the radius of circle c2, then α+6r2 is equal to ______

Now Image of centre c11,3 in x-y+1=0 is given by

x1-11=y1-3-1=-21-3+112+12

x1=2,y1=2

So, centre of circle c22,2

Now radius of circle c2 will be  4+4-385=25=r

Now radius of c12=radius of c22 as they are image to one another,

12+32-α=25

10-α=25α=485

Now putting the value of α & r in α+6r2 we get,

α+6r2=485+125=12
