Acetone, cyclohexanone and pentan-3-one are simple monocarbonyl compounds; their enols are ordinary and present only in traces. Benzoylacetone, ${\mathrm{C}}_6{\mathrm{H}}_5-\mathrm{CO}-\mathrm{C}{\mathrm{H}}_2-\mathrm{CO}-\mathrm{C}{\mathrm{H}}_3$, is a beta-diketone : its enol is stabilised by conjugation with the second carbonyl and the phenyl ring and by a strong intramolecular hydrogen bond, so it has by far the maximum enol content.
