Options:

Answer:
B
Solution:

(P) Cl⁻ → 1: Forms a white precipitate of PbCl₂ that dissolves upon heating the aqueous solution.

(Q) S₂O₃²⁻ → 2, 4, 5: Forms Ag₂S₂O₃ ppt which turns into black Ag₂S on heating, gives a precipitate with CuSO₄, and acts as a reducing agent to decolorize KMnO₄.

(R) SO₃²⁻ → 3, 5: Evolves pungent-smelling SO₂ gas with concentrated H₂SO₄ and decolorizes purple KMnO₄ solution.

(S) S²⁻ → 3, 4: Reacts with concentrated H₂SO₄ to release foul-smelling H₂S gas and forms a black precipitate of CuS with CuSO₄.
