The kinetics of reaction was followed by measuring amount of Bromine consumed at different stages which produce 1,2-cyclobutane and 1,2,3,4-tetra bromo butane. Initially pure cyclobutene was taken in a container at TK. The reaction mixture in the container consume 16.0 mL of 1.0 M bromine solution at the end of 20 minutes from the beginning and consume a total of 20 mL of same bromine solution after a very long time. The volume of bromine solution ( in mL ) consumed by reaction mixture in the second container at the end of 40 minutes is
