Oxyacids are the compounds of hydrogen, oxygen and generally a non metal in which –X–O–H linkage is present. These are oxy acids of phosphorus, sulphur, nitrogen , chlorine etc. There oxy acids may contain X O–X linkage (oxy linkage), X–O–O–X linkage (peroxy linkage)

Basicity : This term is used for acid and is equal number of replaceable hydrogen in an acid molecule.

H₃BO₃, H₂SO₄, H₃PO₄, H₃PO₂, H₂SO₃, H₂N₂O₂, H₂S₂O₈
