LiAlH ${}_4$ is a nucleophilic reducing agent, hence it will reduce $-\mathrm{COOH}$ to ${\mathrm{CH}}_2\mathrm{OH},-\mathrm{CO}$ to $-\mathrm{CHOH}$ and $-{\mathrm{NO}}_2$ to ${\mathrm{NH}}_2$ but does not reduce $\mathrm{C}=\mathrm{C}$ linkage.
