In the electron transport chain the correct sequence of electron acceptor is

Options:

Answer:
B
Solution:

ETS consists of 5 complex :

Complex I - NADH is oxidised by transferring electrons to Ubiquinone in presence of NADH dehydrogenase.

Complex II - FADH2 is oxidised by transferring electrons to Ubiquinone.

Complex III - Reduced ubiquinone (ubiquinol) is oxidised by transferring electrons to cytochrome c via

cytochrome bc1 complex. Cytochrome c is a small protein attached to the outer surface of the inner

membrane and acts as a mobile carrier for the transfer of electrons from Complex III to Complex IV.

Complex IV - It is cytochrome c oxidase complex containing cytochromes a and a3 and two copper centres.

Complex V - ATP synthase.
