Solution:

Asexual reproduction involves a single parents. Hence, no fusion of gametes is seen in this process. Hence, the progeny is identical to parents. There are different methods of asexual reproduction. These are binary fission which means one parent cell forms two daughter cells, seen in amoeba, paramecium etc, multiple fission seen in amoeba. Budding process seen in hydra, fragmentation seen in spirogyra etc. fungi and algae too show asexual reproduction by means of spore formation. These spores are zoospores (motile spores), conidia (exospores) and gemmules. Zoospores are seen in algae. Conidia formation is seen in penicillium and gemmule formation is seen in sponges.
