a. Biomagnification is the natural ageing of a lake by nutrient enrichment of its water
b. After CFC, methane is a major cause of greenhouse effect
c. Ozone is a secondary pollutant in troposphere
d. The thickness of the ozone is measured in Dobson unit

Options:

Answer:
C
Solution:

Biomagnification refers to increase in concentration of the toxicant at successive trophic levels. This happens because a toxic substance accumulated by an organism cannot be metabolised or excreted, and is thus passed on to the next higher trophic level.

The gases like carbon dioxide and methane are the common  greenhouse gases and depletion of the ozone layer is caused by CFCs.

Ozone that found in the troposphere is bad ozone and it is secondary pollutant since it is formed by reaction of primary pollutants in the presence of light. The ozone found in the stratosphere is called good ozone.

The thickness of the ozone in a column of air from the ground to the top of the atmosphere is measured in terms of Dobson units (DU).
