Options:
Answer:
Solution:
The two methods used for biodiversity conservation are in-situ conservation and ex-situ conservation. The development of a particular region and conservation of biodiversity can be at times challenging and non feasible. The numbers of species facing danger of extinction are also increasing. In order to overcome this, the species are conserved in those areas where they are found in large numbers. Species which are found localized in a specific area are known as endemic species. These endemic species are confined to that particular region and not found anywhere else. This high degree of endemism makes it easier to conserve these species in their own habitat by creating biodiversity hotspots.
